Galaxy Macau resort to open in MayMacao casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the owner of several existing casinos in the Chinese destination – announced Galaxy Macau will open its doors for the first time on May 15th in Macau, the only Chinese territory that permits casino gambling.
The resort will offer 2200 hotel rooms, manmade beach with 350 tons of sand, the world’s biggest sky wave pool covering 4,000 square meters, 50 restaurants, shopping areas, as well as a 3D cinema and the “China Rouge” night club, inspired by Shanghai in the 1930s.
“Today, we are very excited that we can now begin counting down to Galaxy Macau’s official opening on 15 May, after years of inspired creation and hard work backed with a firm conviction that a project rooted in Asian ideals and delivered by Asian people could achieve the highest international standards,” said Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman, Galaxy Entertainment Group during a day of media events held for Hong Kong and Macau journalists. “This announcement wouldn’t be possible without the contributions of so many people, especially our talented and dedicated staff and our esteemed partners. We’re all very excited to open our doors to Macau and the world and show everyone what the ‘World Class, Asian Heart’ of Galaxy Macau is all about.”
Galaxy Entertainment Group already runs four casinos in the area, as well as the luxury StarWorld Hotel and Casino venue.
