888 is the Most Visible Online Casino

A study of the latest Google rankings has revealed that 888.com is the most visible online casino site to UK web users.

It appears most often on the first page of results for casino-related terms searched for on Google UK, the dominant search engine that accounts for 90 per cent of search engine use.

The research which was conducted by search company greenlight  revealed that 421 000 searches were made relating to casino with the word ‘casino’ accounting for almost a third of those (32%, or 135,000 searches). This was followed by ‘online casino’ (18%, or 74,000), ‘online slots’ (4%, 18,100), ‘casino games’ (4%, 14,800) and ‘internet casino’ (3%, 12,100).

A Greenlight spokesman said: “888 achieved visibility through ranking on page one of Google for just two of the keywords we analysed. However, the two terms were the highest volume driving terms. ‘casino’ and ‘online casino.’ and 888 achieved position one on both. By comparison, SpinPalace achieved 41% share of voice through attaining position four for ‘casino’ and position two for ‘casino.’ It did achieve position one on Google for one search term, ‘casinos on line,’ but this was searched for only 91 times during the period.”
